System Design Flexibility: Analyzing a 43 kWh Wall-Mounted Installation

At Menred ESS, our product design philosophy centers on providing flexible and reliable building blocks for energy systems. This customer installation of a 43 kWh system serves as an excellent case study of these principles in practice.

The system is comprised of seven LFP.6144.W units, creating a total capacity of over 43 kWh. The core design of the LFP.6144.W unit is inherently modular, allowing it to function as a single, self-contained energy block.

This particular installation showcases the wall-mounted capability of the unit. The horizontal, wall-mounted configuration is ideal for sites where floor space is limited or needs to be kept clear. However, it is just one of the two primary installation options we designed for. The very same unit is engineered for vertical stacking, allowing multiple batteries to be securely placed on top of one another on the floor. This dual-option design provides installers with the versatility to adapt to specific site constraints.

The physical modularity of the unit is fundamental to its scalability. A system can begin with a single battery and be expanded incrementally as energy requirements increase. This seven-unit configuration is a clear demonstration of that scalability in action. The multi-inverter setup is a logical consequence of this expansion, necessary to effectively manage the increased power flow from a scaled-up battery bank.
