A Renewable Energy Technician recently completed a residential installation featuring one unit of the MENRED ESS LFP.6144.G2 solar home power battery alongside a single Deye inverter. This setup forms a complete energy system designed to support daily household consumption and provide backup during grid outages.
The LFP.6144.G2 is part of the LFP.6144.G battery cluster series, which utilizes a centralized control box (LFP.6144.GM) to manage up to two battery packs. It delivers an energy capacity of 12.28kWh (11.66kWh usable) at a nominal voltage of 51.2Vdc, supporting continuous charge and discharge currents of up to 240A. This allows it to handle high-power loads from appliances such as air conditioners or electric water heaters.
Designed for integration with 12kW inverters, the LFP.6144.G2 offers a compact footprint and passive balancing between modules, ensuring consistent performance over time. The system’s modular architecture also allows for future expansion — Up to 32 battery units can be connected in parallel that configured as four groups of eight units each, scaling total capacity to 98.28kWh.
This installation demonstrates how a single LFP.6144.G2 unit can serve as a foundational element in a modern, reliable home energy system.
